Absolute Alignment Adds Support to PMR's Phoenix Recovery

It's anyone's worst nightmare - your home or business is destroyed by fire. Somehow it's even worse when your business has such a public face as being a top motor racing team in the country's leading racing championship. Last week, there was a massive outpouring of support for Absolute Alignment's Technical Partner Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing when the whole team - cars, equipment, tools and more - was destroyed along with the Team Principal's main business when fire spread through the premises. It took mere minutes for everything to be lost, with just a few girders of the building left.

It was a devestating moment, but motor sport is a close-knit community and, as soon as Adam Weaver vowed to return, offers of help from friends and on-track rivals alike poured in to get the team back into action. As Miss Alignment writes this article (Wednesday evening), it looks like this remarkable outfit will be on the grid at Knockhill less than one week after the utter devestation back at base.

Absolute Alignment is a technical partner of PMR, and of course we stepped up to the plate, with Technical Director Chris Dear delivering a replacement Bluetooth Pro Evo wheel aligner.

"They say that a friend in need is a friend indeed," commented Chris. "Both Power Maxed Racing and Motor Parts Direct have been friends of Absolute Alignment for a long time, and it was a privilege to be able to do what we can to help rebuild the race team in as short a time as possible. PMR use a standard off-the-shelf wheel aligner and I was delighted to grab one out of stock and deliver it so that the car builds can take place smoothly both in their new premises and at the track."

The full story of this remarkable turnaround can be found here: https://btcc.net/power-maxed-racing-to-run-two-cupras-at-knockhill/ and all at Absolute Alignment will be cheering Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing to the echo as they roll onto the track at Knockhill this weekend. Thankfully this was no piece of specialised equipment but a wheel aligner that we keep in stock for our regular customers which meant we were able to act as fast as the rest of our racing community. Go PMR!
